Dear applicant,
The
Rotary Club of Summersville works very hard each year to raise monies
to fund scholarships for graduating high school students. The
mission statement of the Rotary Club of Summersville Scholarship
Committee is to provide a scholarship to a student who has excelled
academically, demonstrated leadership, participated in school
activities, and has served the community demonstrating the Rotary Club
motto, “Service above Self.” As we consider these qualities, being a
service organization, the financial need of the student will also play
a primary role in the selection process.
This year, we are proud to be able to award five scholarships in the
amount of $1,500.00 each to graduating high school students from
Nicholas County High School or New Life Christian Academy. The
applicant must submit a competed application and must meet the
criteria of the mission statement of the Rotary Club of Summersville
Scholarship Committee. The Scholarship Committee will review each
application and if selected for a personal interview, the applicant
will be notified of the location, date and time of the interview.
